We found this very nice hotel by passing by on the street. The staff was kean to help us with everything. Our room was small, but tidy and rather cheap considering that AC was included. The drying rack hanging from the ceiling was a little funny, because we had to duck each time we went to the bathroom. Via the reception desk we booked a scuba diving tour at a good fare, which was a short but very good diving experience. You don’t have to have dived before, they guide you under water, so that you only have to flow and enjoy the dreamlike experience. The hotel is very well located in the middle of the small town of Malvan. It is close to a booking agent for train tickets, the market (monday mornings), the beach and many restaurants. Since this is a small place, the life in the streets drastically diminishes during the weekend which should be taken into account. All in all, we can strongly recommend this place.

visited sun n sand holiday home malvan last month with family. we booked room with booking.com rooms were clean and neat with easy acess to beach, market and water activities. food in hotel gajalee was excellent and scuba diving provided by hotel was superb fun surely will recommend this hotel if visiting tarkarli

I recently visited malvan for summer vacation sun n sand holiday home. Rooms were nice owner was shy but very helpful and overall great food at gajalee restaurant owned by sun n sand. Scuba was cheaper only rs 500 per head only at sun n sand holiday home. Service was good with clean and neat rooms

Our family recent visited Sun and sand holiday home on hoil vacation for three days hotel was cozy and comfortable the service boy Mr.datta was very humble and provide very good service hotel was near to scuba diving center owner provide all activities like parasailing,deep sea diving and watersport at just Rs.1650 per head which was half of the price of tarkarli and devbas owner doesn't speak much if you ask something will tell honestly about it

Hello All, I was there for two days .. But this owner is GREEDY who don't value customer... He changed his committed words.. Behaves rudely to customer.. Not even respect families.. Please don't go... There is no minus rating available for this hence could not.. Better U choose any other option .. My humble request just don't book this hotel.. this is only suitable for Bachelors/Drinkers/day out guys/groups only..
